Tossa, in general and specially the fishermen community, enjoy a long tradition in the cooking of noodles. As a result of that, every year, gastronomic days are celebrated and called "A thousand and one ways to cook noodles in Tossa". In Can Carlus Restaurant we give noodles a special treatment, fideuas, arrossejats and black noodles with turbot, lucerne, and up to a dozen styles are in our menu.
Casseroles with a taste of the sea.
In fishermen's homes, on special days, casseroles were holiday dressed, however, the power of imagination in the daily cooking with more simple casseroles, not any less surprising to the palate, like the laureated "Cim i Tomba", star of other gastronomic events during September, and star casserole in our restaurant, or potatoes with skate or anchovies casserole and a large etcetera always depending of what the fishing day brings.

Our fish and shellfish grills are something else. Selected products with a critical eye in our fish markets and then masterly cooked by our chefs. Only shellfish or a combination of fish and shellfish will be the hard choice, then relax and enjoy, the surroundings and our service will do the rest.
All the fish can be cooked in casserole, open and boneless, in salt, grilled or oven cooked.
A sweet ending is always important. Some are made by ourselves and some others come from local bakeries.
As it can't be in any other way, to an ample selection of good food products, there is the possibility of maridating them with a great variety of cavas, white wines, rose wines and red wines.
